This group's primary focus is on practical self-defense, no matter what age, ability or experience. We will cover areas such as physical altercations, mental readiness as well as the psychological ramifications of confrontations. At times we may also cover other mental and spiritual aspects of martial arts, such as QiGong and meditation, and other forms of oriental philosophy and practice. Anyone interested in self-defense is welcome!
We practice many forms of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Qi Gong can harmonize, strengthen and have a healing effect on the functioning of all the internal organs and bodily systems. It increases the supply and flow of energy throughout the body, can have a variety of rejuvenating effects and is believed to increase longevity, and it induces calm mental and emotional states.
